Seems so Joe…the likes of Shorrocks Byrne Powell and with Isa and Farrell getting on a bit and Smithies seemingly Aussie bound it should be quite interesting….Saints beware

roylew

I was told by my source weeks ago that Cust would be leaving at the end of the season if the moving of French to Stand Off was a success which it has been proved.

Cust has been a good clubman who has always given 100% for both the first team and reserves and never moaned about not getting regular first team selection.

I wish him all the best at Salford.

Roy,I thought that when they signed him,as his last season in the NRL he was playing hooker.
Thought he was a decent enough player, never achieved his potential, and once French got the hang of playing in the halves,he was never going to shift him

OC, Because Salford might lose their ground and won't be graded if they do.

The club might be just saying that to put pressure on their Council to decide on the matter like new owners of Oldham Athletic did a few seasons ago when they threaten to take the club out of Oldham if the Council did not help them to make improvements to Boundry Park.

The Council did help to make the improvements

Other clubs including have done the same over the years to get help or a new ground!
